Jan 28, 2008: First class meeting in P123 from 2:20pm to 3:40pm.
This course is a first introduction to nuclear and particle physics.
The course has a prerequisite of undergraduate quantum mechanics (PHY308 or equivalent).
The Particle Data Group is the definitive source for particle properties (masses, lifetimes, &c)
PHY 431 is a three credit course. There will be homework, an in-class midterm, a report and an in-class final.
Class Meetings: MW 2:20pm to 3:40pm in Physics P-123
