PHY 431: Nuclear and Particle Physics

This course is a first introduction to nuclear and particle physics.

The course has a prerequisite of undergraduate quantum mechanics (PHY308 or equivalent).

PHY 431 is a three credit course. There will be homework, an in-class midterm, a report and an in-class final.

  1. Class Meetings: MW 2:20pm to 3:40pm in Physics P-123

  2. Grading: Homework 10%, Midterm 20%, Project 30% and Final 40%.
