This course is a first introduction to nuclear and particle physics.
The course has a prerequisite of undergraduate quantum mechanics (PHY308 or equivalent).
The Particle Data Group is the definitive source for particle properties (masses, lifetimes, &c)
PHY 431 is a three credit course. There will be homework, an in-class midterm, a report and an in-class final.
Class Meetings: MWF 8:30am to 9:25am in Physics P-125
Grading: Midterm 30%, Project 30% and Final 40%.
